Overview

Tesamorelin is a synthetic analog of human growth hormone-releasing hormone (GHRH 1-44) in which the N-terminal tyrosine residue carries a trans-3-hexenoic acid (hexenoyl) modification. This acylation is intended to confer resistance to enzymatic degradation relative to native GHRH, making the molecule a useful tool for studying the GHRH receptor and downstream signaling in controlled in vitro and ex vivo systems.
