Long-acting IGF-1 analog peptide
IGF-1 LR3 (Long R3 Insulin-like Growth Factor-1) is an 83-amino-acid analog of human IGF-1. It carries an arginine substitution for glutamate at position 3 together with a 13-residue N-terminal extension - modifications that reduce binding to IGF-binding proteins and extend the analog's in-vitro stability relative to native IGF-1. It is supplied as a lyophilized powder for laboratory research use only.
In the research literature, IGF-1 LR3 is used as a reference ligand for studying IGF-1 receptor signaling, the PI3K/Akt and MAPK cascades, and cellular proliferation and differentiation in cultured-cell systems.
